Beauty and Nails by Yaz is a Black woman-led beauty studio located in North Ajax, dedicated to empowering beauty through education and transformation. Our mission is simple: to provide exceptional beauty services that not only enhance outward appearance but also boost confidence from within. We specialize in lash extensions, professional makeup, and cultivating the healthy growth of our clients’ natural nails using structured gel techniques. Our comprehensive beauty services are designed to cater to all women who seek quality, care, and a touch of luxury in their beauty routines.

 

Our journey began with a careful observation of the beauty market in the Durham region, particularly noting the dominance of non-Black owned beauty businesses that were predominantly utilized by Black women. This inspired us to create a space where women—especially those who have often felt overlooked in mainstream beauty spaces—could come for expert services delivered with understanding, cultural competence, and a commitment to excellence. Our business was built with a passion for empowering all women, regardless of background, and this commitment to inclusivity is at the core of everything we do.
